With support from my teachers, I founded The Science Edge Club in my sophomore year. My mission was to form a network of peers, promoting STEM fields through problem solving, discussions, and tutoring. We continue to support each other through meaningful collaborations, exchanging ideas.
Science Olympiad Club (2019 – Present)
– President
As president, I recruit members, coordinate meetings, and supervise preparation through teamwork. My leadership strategies include motivation and leading by example. I was instrumental in getting all teams to qualify for State. I have been actively involved in the Chemistry Lab section of the Science Olympiad competition, helping my peers understand the content and lab portions of the event.
Youth Advisory Board (2019 – Present)
– Positive Message Coordinator
As a positive message coordinator, I continue to lead the positive message initiative of organizing, posting, and sending inspirational quotes to encourage optimistic school spirit. I have also engaged in other efforts to promote school culture, including running booths for Halloween, Global Awareness Week, and Ethnic Fest.
LEAP Foundation at UCLA (2018, 2019)
– Biggest Leaper Award & participant
This week-long personal development boot camp at UCLA helped strengthen my skills in leadership, time management, networking, and public speaking. We collaborated in small groups to reinforce the skills we learned. At the end of the week, I interviewed experts in sustainability, business, and technology, learning from their successes.
